About Our Physician
Dr. Mark Ernest is a dedicated medical doctor with training in both traditional and integrative medicine. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and has been an entrepreneur for over 14 years. Additionally, he has several years of experience in law enforcement where he saw how society had failed so many people. Understanding the greater need, he was inspired to pursue a medical degree, a residency in Psychiatry, and ultimately a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Ernest completed his undergraduate studies at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and graduated from Quillen College of Medicine in 2013 where he also completed two years of a Psychiatry residency focusing on caring for veterans at the Mountain Home Veterans Administration Hospital in Johnson City, TN. While striving to help patients achieve true recovery during his psychiatric residency, Dr. Ernest recognized the necessity of addressing psychiatric issues in conjunction with physical and spiritual components. This holistic approach was overlooked. Witnessing the lack of transformative progress in his behavioral health patients, he was prompted to explore alternative approaches.
He discovered the Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, established by Dr. Andrew Weil, from which he graduated. During his fellowship, he furthered his education in functional medicine, including hormone and endocrine therapies, diet and nutrition, and alternative recovery solutions. Dr. Ernest's commitment to aiding those in recovery expanded to helping other individuals manage health issues beyond just mental health concerns. Having a passion to stay connected with new discoveries in medicine, he continues to research, study and implement traditional, innovative, and alternative treatments to benefit his patients, such as the completion of the LDN Research Trust’s Master Class for LDN Therapy.
Dr. Ernest is dedicated to empowering patients to achieve self-sufficiency in their health and life style. His goal is to enable his patients to achieve their optimal level of health. When appropriate, he recommends supplements or vitamins to improve well-being, with the ultimate goal of making his services unnecessary in the future. For patients with complex medical or psychological issues, he employs a combination of evidence-based traditional, innovative, and alternative treatments to address the root causes. He considers each patient a part of the treatment team and takes the time to listen to his patients. Dr. Ernest recognizes that individualized approaches are essential, as a single solution does not fit all.

LDN Therapy
Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is a very safe medicine long used for a wide range of diseases. Insurance
Because insurance plans vary in coverage, if you have a plan with any of these companies, please verify with your individual insurance plan whether or not your visit will be covered prior to coming in. We do not accept Medicare as it does not reimburse for Integrative therapies.
We currently also provide out-of-network services to our patients. Most insurance companies will provide you with out-of-network benefits for medical evaluations and mental health assessments and therapy. Some of our services are considered out of network. So, please verify (prior to your visit) if your insurance plan will reimburse you for part of the costs. Some may reimburse you after you submit a superbill to them of the services rendered. We can provide a copy of the superbill for you to submit.
Any copays required by your insurance company or self pay amounts are required to be paid at time of services rendered.
